I discovered my love for lending when I began my career at a local state bank where my primary responsibilities were Consumer and Real Estate Lending. I quickly learned crunching numbers was only a small part of this new-found love. Rather, it was building personal relationships with each person I came in contact with, listening to them share their personal and financial goals, and ultimately helping them achieve their goals. 

In 2002, my husband and I were blessed with our first daughter. It was then I decided to resign at the bank and become a full-time Mom. My daily routine changed from reviewing credit reports and appraisals, to nurturing our child. Although I missed my old routine, my new routine was bar none. In 2010, as my youngest daughter started kindergarten, I accepted a position as a Teacher Assistant at a private school where I would later transition as the Administrative Assistant. I thoroughly enjoyed my interactions and providing support to the students, parents, and staff, on a daily basis.

In 2018, I was presented with an offer as Loan Processor and Loan Officer Assistant with Essex Mortgage. I didn’t realize how much I missed the world of lending until I was back in it again. Although much had changed over the past 15 years with rules and regulations, the most important part had not; helping the borrowers understand the process of buying a home, building a personal relationship with each borrower, and helping them reach their goals of homeownership. 

In the Spring of 2023, I obtained my Mortgage Loan Originator license. And now, 20 years later, I am meeting myself back where I started, but stronger! I am grateful for each and every step in my path the past 20 years; especially for the friendships I made and the knowledge I gained. I am excited to be back in the role of Loan Officer; building personal relationships with my clients and providing them with the education they deserve to make sound decisions to achieve their financial goals.
