OUR MISSION is
to build a company of professionals
who will provide our clients
with expertise, education and
financial literacy
on the largest investment of
their life.
FROM 1986 TO TODAY
Hailing from Essex, England, Roland Weedon founded Essex Mortgage in 1986. With a background in education, Roland remained adamant that educating the client wouId be the company's #1 priority. Today, Roland still holds to the fact that an educated client is best equipped to make decisions that are not only in their best interest, but also help in achieving both short and Iong-term goaIs.
While education is vital, so is adherence to the company’s mission and vision statements. We are lucky to be completely staffed with like-minded mortgage professionals whose priorities align with ours and who share in the philosophy expressed in our mission and vision. In fact, some of our employees have been with us 20+ years! We strive to provide every employee with an environment of support where success becomes simple. This approach guides us in all of our decisions. That is our culture. This is how our mortgage loan officers have developed and serviced our clients - generations of them – over the past 3 decades.
Here at Essex, our dedication shows in our interactions with everyone. Simply put, our Essex Family is honored to take care of your family and has been since day one.

ESSEX IN THE COMMUNITY
Our primary focus is always to provide exceptional service for all our clients, and this has allowed us to get very involved in our community. There are several worthwhile causes we get involved with throughout the year, both on a company level and as individuals. Everything from food drives and adopting families each Christmas to large gala events, we look for any way to help in our community.

Two of the primary foundations we support are the McKenna Claire Foundation and HomeAid Orange County.

The McKenna Claire Foundation works to raise money for pediatric brain cancer research. Founders and dear friends of the Essex Family, David and Christine Wetzel lost their daughter, McKenna, to a rare form of cancer at only 7 years old. Their vision is to see a world free from pediatric brain cancer where families can remain whole. Attending just one of their events or having a single conversation with McKenna's parents and it's easy to see their passion for helping other families.
HomeAid Orange County is the founding chapter of a national non-profit organization with a mission of building new lives for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. With nearly 60 buildings developed and almost 1,500 beds added across Orange County, HomeAid Orange County has transformed the lives of more than 55,000 people affected by homelessness.

Whether standing with The McKenna Claire Foundation and their passion for families or supporting the mission of HomeAid Orange County to eliminate homelessness, it's easy to see how our own motto of Bringing Families Home coincides with the phenomenal efforts of these two powerhouse organizations.
